Fort Worth: Testify (A Tribute to Rush) at Tannahill’s Tavern & Music Hall
September 5 @ 9:00 pm - 11:30 pm
$34Testify, a note-for-note tribute to Canadian progressive-rock trio Rush, plays Tannahill’s Tavern & Music Hall in the Fort Worth Stockyards on Saturday, September 5, with tickets starting at $34.
Rush spent more than four decades building one of rock’s most technically demanding catalogs — “Tom Sawyer,” “Limelight,” and “2112” among them — built on Geddy Lee’s high-register vocals and bass work, Alex Lifeson’s layered guitar arrangements, and the late Neil Peart’s widely-studied drumming and lyric writing. With Rush having retired from touring years before Peart’s 2020 death, tribute acts like Testify have become the only way most fans can hear the band’s complex arrangements reproduced live, note-for-note solos included.
Tannahill’s Tavern & Music Hall opened in the Fort Worth Stockyards in October 2022, the creation of chef Tim Love, a longtime official chef of Austin City Limits Music Festival, who named the room after his son. The 1,000-capacity Music Hall occupies Mule Alley, a row of century-old horse-and-mule barns renovated as part of the Stockyards’ historic redevelopment, and keeps an open, barn-like footprint with two bars flanking the general-admission floor and a pizza window for late-night eats. Read more on its Texas Music Map venue page. The room sits blocks from the rest of the Stockyards’ Western entertainment corridor, and showtimes vary by night, so check the calendar before heading out.

Rush tribute shows draw a famously detail-obsessed crowd, and Testify has built its following on getting the technical passages right rather than just hitting the recognizable riffs — expect a set built around the band’s most demanding instrumental sections as much as its radio hits.
Doors typically open a couple hours ahead of the 9 PM set time; Tannahill’s general-admission floor and two bars make it an easy room to grab a drink and find a spot near the stage.
