Helotes: Silverada at John T. Floore’s Country Store
Silverada brings its dancehall country to Helotes on Friday, Oct. 30, 2026, taking the stage at 10 PM at John T. Floore’s Country Store, with tickets starting at $48. The Austin band, known for years as Mike and the Moonpies, is making a Halloween-weekend stop at one of the most storied dance halls in Texas.
Frontman Mike Harmeier formed the band in Austin in 2007, and the group spent its early years playing marathon sets in dancehalls and dive bars across Central Texas. That road work paid off: records like “Steak Night at the Prairie Rose” and 2019’s “Cheap Silver and Solid Country Gold,” cut at London’s Abbey Road Studios with the London Symphony Orchestra, turned the band into one of the most respected names in Texas country.
Floore’s has been a Hill Country landmark since John T. Floore opened it in 1942 on Old Bandera Road, northwest of San Antonio. Willie Nelson played the place regularly early in his career, and the big outdoor stage, shaded yard, and famous homemade tamales still pull fans from all over South Texas. For a band built on two-steps, shuffles, and pedal steel, Silverada in Helotes feels like a natural fit.

In January 2024 the band rebranded as Silverada and released a self-titled album that June, keeping the sharp storytelling while leaning into a broader, rock-tinged sound. This fall’s Texas run also includes stops in Arlington and San Antonio — see every upcoming date on our Silverada Texas tour page, and read more about the venue’s history on our John T.
