Houston: Teddy Swims at Toyota Center
Teddy Swims brings “The Ugly Tour” to Toyota Center in Houston on Tuesday, Oct. 27, 2026, at 7:00 PM, with tickets starting at $40. Country singer Avery Anna is listed on the bill for this stop. The fall arena run is the Atlanta-based singer’s biggest headlining tour yet, and Texas gets three dates in four nights.
Born Jaten Dimsdale in Conyers, Georgia, Teddy Swims built a following posting soul, R&B and country covers to YouTube before his own songs took off. His 2023 single “Lose Control” became one of the longest-running hits in Billboard Hot 100 history, eventually reaching No. 1, and it anchored his debut album “I’ve Tried Everything But Therapy (Part 1).” He followed it with “Part 2” in 2025 and earned a Grammy nomination for Best New Artist.
Houston kicks off the Texas swing. Toyota Center, home of the Houston Rockets, is a natural fit for a singer whose voice fills an arena without much help. Avery Anna, the Arizona-raised country artist known for the viral heartbreak song “Narcissist,” gives the night a country-leaning start before Swims takes over. For more shows at this arena, see the Toyota Center venue page on Texas Music Map.

On stage, Swims is backed by his longtime band, Freak Freely, and his shows mix gospel-sized vocals with a loose, joking stage presence. Expect “Lose Control,” “The Door,” “Bad Dreams” and “What More Can I Say,” along with newer material such as “Mr. Know It All,” which he debuted at Coachella in 2026. The Texas swing continues with Teddy Swims at Moody Center in Austin on Oct. 28 and Teddy Swims at Dickies Arena in Fort Worth on Oct. 30.
Doors typically open about 90 minutes before showtime. Toyota Center is at 1510 Polk Street in downtown Houston, with paid parking in nearby garages. On a Tuesday night, downtown traffic eases after rush hour, but security lines build quickly for a sold-out arena, so arrive early.
