Waco: Midland at The Backyard Waco
Midland closes its 2026 Stages Tour at The Backyard in Waco on Saturday, Nov. 14, 2026, at 6:00 PM, with tickets starting at $92. Waco is the final date of a tour that began in July at the GRAMMY Museum in Los Angeles, so the band’s homecoming Texas show doubles as its season finale.
Singer Mark Wystrach, bassist Cameron Duddy and guitarist Jess Carson formed Midland in Dripping Springs, Texas, in 2013 and named the band after a Dwight Yoakam song. Their 2017 debut single, “Drinkin’ Problem,” reached the top 5 on country radio and earned Grammy nominations, and their debut album “On the Rocks” brought a polished revival of 1970s and ’80s country sound, with nods to George Strait, the Eagles and the Bakersfield sound.
Midland has followed with albums including “Let It Roll,” “The Last Resort: Greetings From” and “Barely Blue,” and songs like “Make a Little,” “Burn Out” and “Cheatin’ Songs” have kept them on playlists for a decade. Their 2026 tour supports their fifth studio album, and the run included opening slots for Kacey Musgraves as well as headlining dates. The night before Waco, they play Payne Arena in Hidalgo. TMM also lists Midland’s New Year’s Eve show at Billy Bob’s Texas in Fort Worth.

The Backyard in Waco is an outdoor bar and music venue known for hosting Texas country and touring Nashville acts under the Central Texas sky, which suits Midland’s harmony-heavy, sun-faded country. See more shows on The Backyard Waco venue page on Texas Music Map.
The Backyard is an outdoor venue, so dress for a November evening in Central Texas, which can turn chilly after dark. Gates typically open about an hour before showtime. Parking is available near the venue, but expect the lots to fill for a tour finale, so arrive early.
