Thundercat brings his Distracted AF Tour to the outdoor lawn at White Oak Music Hall in Houston on Saturday, Nov. 7, 2026, at 7:00 PM, with tickets starting at $87. The bassist, singer and producer is on a 31-date North American run that began in Miami in October.

Thundercat is Los Angeles musician Stephen Bruner, who grew up in a musical family and played bass in the thrash band Suicidal Tendencies before going solo. His virtuosic six-string bass and falsetto vocals made him a key player in modern jazz-funk and R&B, and he has collaborated closely with Flying Lotus and Kendrick Lamar, including on Lamar’s landmark album “To Pimp a Butterfly.”

His 2017 album “Drunk” made him a cult star with songs like “Them Changes” and “Show You the Way,” and 2020’s “It Is What It Is” won the Grammy for Best Progressive R&B Album. His upcoming album, “Distracted,” is his first in six years and includes a single with Lil Yachty. Before this tour he spent time on the road supporting The Strokes, and his shows mix tight jams, humor and plenty of anime references.

The tour’s southern swing also includes Dallas, and openers on select dates include Channel Tres, TiaCorine, fera, 54 Ultra and Kitty Ca$h. White Oak Music Hall opened in 2016 in Houston’s Near Northside, and its outdoor lawn is one of the city’s best spots for a fall concert under the stars. See more shows on the White Oak Music Hall venue page on Texas Music Map.

Gates typically open about an hour before showtime. White Oak Music Hall is at 2915 North Main Street, near the Quitman/Near Northside METRORail stop, with paid parking nearby. The lawn is outdoors, so bring a light layer for a November evening.
