Austin – Brendon Anthony, the long-time director of the Texas Music Office (TMO), announced his resignation on April 26, 2024. His last day in office will be May 6th.
Anthony has held the position since 2015 and oversaw significant growth within the Texas music industry during his tenure. Under his leadership, the TMO expanded its Music Friendly Texas Certified Community program from 10 to over 60 partners.
In a letter to industry stakeholders, Anthony expressed his gratitude for the opportunity to serve and highlighted the TMO’s accomplishments. He praised his team and credited them for the office’s success in establishing Texas as a leading state for the music industry.
Chip Adams, who has been instrumental in growing the Music Friendly Texas program, has been appointed as the new TMO director, effective May 7th.
Anthony will continue his career in the Texas music industry in a new role.
