Austin: Malcolm Todd at ACL Live

Malcolm Todd brings his “Do That Again Tour” to ACL Live at the Moody Theater in Austin on Saturday, Sept. 5, 2026. Doors open at 7 p.m. for the 8 p.m. show, and tickets start at $143.

The 22-year-old Los Angeles singer, songwriter and producer built his following the way most breakout pop acts do these days: through TikTok. His 2023 singles “Art House” and “Roommates” went viral and landed on his 2024 mixtape Sweet Boy, leading to a deal with Columbia Records. His 2025 self-titled debut album cracked the Billboard 200, powered by “Chest Pain (I Love),” a song that became a global TikTok phenomenon, especially across Southeast Asia, and gave Todd his first entry on the Billboard Hot 100.

Todd’s sound blends indie pop, alternative R&B and bedroom-pop production, drawing comparisons to Steve Lacy and Dominic Fike — part of a wave of young multi-instrumentalists building albums in home studios before ever stepping on a stage this size. ACL Live has long been a launching pad for that kind of artist; the venue takes its name from Austin City Limits, the PBS series that has introduced the country to new sounds out of Texas and beyond since 1976, and artists like Sarah Jarosz have used its stage to reach new audiences the same way Todd is doing with a younger, internet-native crowd.
