Fort Worth: The Red Clay Strays at Dickies Arena (Oct. 7)

October 7 @ 6:30 pm - 9:30 pm

$63

The Red Clay Strays roll into Fort Worth’s Dickies Arena on Wednesday, October 7, 2026, with doors for a 6:30 p.m. show and tickets starting at $63. The five-piece out of Mobile, Alabama has spent the past two years turning bar-band grit into arena-headliner momentum, and this Cultural District stop lands during one of the busiest stretches of their 2026 tour.

Formed in 2016 when vocalist Brandon Coleman and bassist Andrew Bishop’s old covers band dissolved, the Strays added guitarist/vocalist Drew Nix, guitarist Zach Rishel, and drummer John Hall to round out the lineup. Their 2022 debut album Moment of Truth carried the slow-burning “Wondering Why,” a song that crossed over from a viral online moment to the Billboard Hot 100 in late 2023 and landed the band a deal with RCA. The 2024 follow-up, Made by These Moments, was produced by Dave Cobb and cracked the Top 40 of the Billboard 200, cementing a sound that splits the difference between gospel-inflected soul and Southern rock.

Fort Worth gets two nights with the Strays this fall, a sign of how far the band’s live reputation has traveled since their days playing to half-empty rooms in South Alabama. Expect a set built around raw vocal power and tight musicianship rather than pyrotechnics; the Strays have built their following almost entirely through word of mouth and constant touring rather than radio play.

Critics have compared the band’s sound to everything from Otis Redding to Lynyrd Skynyrd, but the Strays wear those influences loosely, favoring raw performance over polish. The band played San Antonio’s Frost Bank Center just weeks before this Fort Worth date, part of a run that has them crisscrossing Texas twice in a matter of weeks as their following keeps growing.

Doors typically open about 90 minutes before showtime. Dickies Arena sits in Fort Worth’s Cultural District within the Will Rogers Memorial Center complex, with ample on-site parking, so plan to arrive early to find parking and grab a spot on the floor.
