San Francisco garage-psych institution Osees, featuring former member Brigid Dawson, play the second of two Austin nights at Hotel Vegas on Sunday, November 1, 2026, with a 6:00 to 11:00 PM patio show. Tickets are $34, with Traps PS opening; the first night, October 31, is already sold out.
Led by prolific songwriter and guitarist John Dwyer, Osees (formerly known as Thee Oh Sees, OCS, and several other name variations) has spent over two decades as one of garage and psych rock’s most relentlessly productive and unpredictable bands, releasing dozens of albums that swing between fuzzed-out garage rock, krautrock-influenced grooves, and freeform psychedelia. This run features Brigid Dawson, a longtime former member whose vocals and keyboard work were central to some of the band’s most beloved records.
Hotel Vegas’ outdoor patio stage, used for this show, gives Osees’ famously loud, physical live show room to breathe in the open air — a fitting setting for a band whose performances are as much a full-body experience as a musical one.
Dwyer’s restless creative output and the band’s constantly evolving lineup have made every Osees era feel distinct, and having Dawson back in the fold for this run gives longtime fans a chance to hear songs from a particularly beloved chapter of the band’s catalog.
