The Sex Pistols’ 1977 debut “Never Mind the Bollocks, Here’s the Sex Pistols” remains one of the most influential records in punk history, distilling working-class British anger into a handful of blistering singles like “Anarchy in the U.K.” and “God Save the Queen.” With original vocalist Johnny Rotten not participating in this run, the surviving instrumental lineup has enlisted Frank Carter — the ferocious frontman of Frank Carter & the Rattlesnakes and formerly of Gallows — to front the band for a tour marking a half-century since punk’s initial explosion.
