Nate Amos, best known as one half of the acclaimed experimental duo Water From Your Eyes, launched This Is Lorelei as a more personal, singer-songwriter-leaning outlet for his music. The project’s 2024 album “Box for Buddy, Box for Star” earned wide critical praise for blending lo-fi indie rock with unexpected pop hooks and detours into Auto-Tuned balladry, positioning Amos as one of indie rock’s most inventive current songwriters working outside his main band.
Hotel Vegas’ intimate stage suits This Is Lorelei’s mix of lo-fi intimacy and unexpected sonic left turns, giving the songs room to land in a close, DIY-friendly setting.
