Dallas: Gary Clark Jr. at Majestic Theatre Dallas

August 27 @ 8:00 pm - 10:00 pm

$109
Gary Clark Jr. performing live on guitar on stage

Gary Clark Jr. brings his genre-blurring guitar work to the Majestic Theatre in Dallas on Thursday, August 27, 2026, with the show starting at 8 p.m. Tickets start at $109, and the Austin-raised guitarist’s blend of blues, soul, and hard rock has made him one of the most in-demand live acts to come out of Texas in the last two decades.

Clark taught himself guitar at 13 using library instructional books, then found his way to Clifford Antone’s legendary Austin nightclub, where Jimmie Vaughan and other veterans of the Texas blues scene took him under their wing. He signed with Warner Bros. Records in 2011, and his major-label debut, Blak and Blu, climbed to No. 6 on the Billboard 200 the following year. Since then he’s built a catalog that pulls from blues rock, R&B, soul, and hip-hop in equal measure, refusing to be boxed into any single genre.

The Majestic Theatre’s ornate 1920s interior, all gilded plasterwork and velvet seating, gives Clark’s guitar tone room to breathe, and Dallas crowds have shown up in force every time he’s rolled through town. It’s one of the city’s great old movie-palace-turned-concert-halls, the kind of room where a searing guitar solo hits differently than it would in an arena.

Clark has won four Grammy Awards from six nominations, including a sweep of three trophies in 2020 for his album This Land: Best Rock Performance, Best Rock Song, and Best Contemporary Blues Album. He’s collaborated with artists ranging from the Rolling Stones and Eric Clapton to Alicia Keys and Childish Gambino, and got his start on the same Antone’s Nightclub stage in Austin where Stevie Ray Vaughan once played.

Doors typically open about an hour before showtime. The Majestic sits in the heart of downtown Dallas’s Main Street Historic District, with plenty of nearby parking garages and restaurants for dinner before the show. Arrive early if you want to explore the theater’s lobby, which is as much a part of the experience as the performance itself.
