Zahm first gained national notice as a teenager on American Idol, but her real breakthrough came when songs like “Fat Funny Friend” and “You Might Not Like Her” went viral on TikTok. Because her lyrics tackle body image, heartbreak, and self-discovery so directly, fans have connected with her music on a deeply personal level.
Her debut EP, You Might Not Like Her, documented Zahm leaving the church community where she had long served as a worship leader, moving to Los Angeles, and coming out as queer. She followed it with her full-length debut, Now That I’ve Been Honest, in October 2023. Since then, Zahm has sold out headline tours across the U.S. and internationally and shared stages with artists including P!nk, earning acclaim from NPR, Rolling Stone, Billboard, and People along the way.

The Kessler Theater has anchored the Oak Cliff neighborhood since opening in 1942, and the Art Deco building was once owned by singing cowboy Gene Autry.
