Trish Toledo Kessler Theater Concert in Oak Cliff

Trish Toledo and the Kessler Theater host a night of classic soul on Thursday, November 12, in Oak Cliff. Toledo is a singer-songwriter from Carson, California, with an Ecuadorian father and a Guatemalan mother. She started singing at age six, and she grew up surrounded by cumbias, ballads and timeless oldies.

Over time, she found her true home in the soul and pop ballads of the 1960s and 1970s. However, her path to the stage was not a straight line. She put her music on hold as a young mother, and in 2017 her son encouraged her to try again. Since then, her Dedicated to the Ones I Love EP series has introduced classic songs to a new generation. As a result, she has built a loyal following of fans who love vintage soul.

About the Kessler Theater

The Kessler Theater is a restored Art Deco theater in the heart of Oak Cliff. It first opened in the early 1940s, and singing cowboy Gene Autry once held a stake in the building. Since its 2010 reopening as a music venue, the room has hosted folk, rock, blues and soul acts from around the world. Overall, it offers a rare mix of history, comfort and great acoustics.
