World Famous Pets Kessler Theater tickets are on sale for Tuesday, October 6, as the new supergroup brings Oak Cliff’s own Edie Brickell home for a hometown-adjacent show. The band pairs Brickell with drummer Matt Chamberlain, bassist Kaveh Rastegar, and guitarist Mason Stoops, and their self-titled debut album arrived September 25, 2026 on Shuffle Records. Because every member contributes songwriting, the self-produced record reflects a genuinely collective creative process.
Brickell and Chamberlain previously played together in New Bohemians, and the two reconnected while touring together as part of Paul Simon’s Quiet Celebration tour, realizing it had been too long since they had made music together. In addition to debut single “Maybe Somehow,” the group has shared the song “I Guess It’s You,” both of which showcase an improvisational, in-the-moment approach to songwriting. As a result, fans should expect the band to stretch out and explore rather than replay the record note for note.
