Creager grew up outside Corpus Christi, learned piano in second grade and picked up guitar at Tuloso-Midway High School before earning degrees at Sam Houston State and Texas A&M. He stampeded onto the Texas scene with his 1998 debut, Having Fun All Wrong, and has since sold more than 250,000 albums independently and landed thirteen #1 singles on regional charts — all without ever signing to a major label.
