Grand Prairie: Sam Barber at Texas Trust CU Theatre
Sam Barber brings The American Route Tour to Texas Trust CU Theatre in Grand Prairie on Saturday, Dec. 5, 2026, at 7:00 PM, with tickets starting at $64. The Grand Prairie date was one of five shows added to the tour after strong demand, alongside stops at the Greek Theatre in Los Angeles and the Rady Shell in San Diego.
Barber grew up on a farm in southeast Missouri and started playing music as a teenager after picking up his great-grandfather’s Gibson guitar. His deep, weathered baritone and stark, honest songs about faith, hardship and heartbreak caught on quickly online, and his viral song “Straight and Narrow” helped make him one of the breakout voices in roots-leaning country. He now lives in Bozeman, Montana.
His sophomore album, “Broken View,” came out in spring 2026 on Atlantic Outpost. Its 13 songs explore love, loss and self-discovery, and Barber co-wrote and co-produced it with Joe Becker, with some songs co-produced by Aaron Dessner of The National at Long Pond Studio.
