Formed in 2014 as a collaboration between American singer Tyler Lyle and Danish producer Tim McEwan, The Midnight built a devoted following by fusing ’80s-inspired synth textures with soaring pop songwriting and saxophone-laced hooks. Albums like “Endless Summer” (2016), “Kids” (2017), and “Monsters” (2020) turned the duo into one of the genre’s defining acts, known for anthemic tracks that blend retro synthesizer sounds with genuinely emotional lyricism about longing, memory, and youth.
