New Braunfels: Hayes Carll at Gruene Hall
June 12 @ 8:00 pm - 11:00 pm
From $48
Hayes Carll opens a two-night run at Gruene Hall on Friday, June 12, 2026. Showtime is 8 PM at Texas’s oldest operating dance hall. Tickets start from $48 on StubHub.
Carll grew up in The Woodlands, north of Houston, and spent his early years busking the bars of Crystal Beach on the Bolivar Peninsula. He sharpened his craft at Galveston’s Old Quarter Acoustic Café — the same storied room that helped shape Townes Van Zandt — absorbing the Texas folk and country sounds that still run through everything he writes.
His 2008 Lost Highway release Trouble in Mind put him on the national map. “She Left Me for Jesus” won Americana Music Association Song of the Year, and he followed it with KMAG YOYO & Other American Stories (2011). In 2016, he earned a Grammy nomination for Best Country Song for “Chances Are,” later covered by Lee Ann Womack.
Recent albums What It Is (2019) and You Get It All (2021) on Dualtone Records keep his catalog growing. In 2024, he teamed with Band of Heathens to form Hayes & The Heathens. His songs have been recorded by Kenny Chesney, Brothers Osborne, and dozens more.
Night one of two at Gruene Hall. Get your tickets on StubHub before they’re gone.
