San Antonio: Skillet at Aztec Theatre

Skillet brings its Comatose: 20 Years, Still Screaming Tour to the Aztec Theatre in San Antonio on Friday, Nov. 6, 2026, at 7:00 PM, with tickets starting at $112. The tour celebrates the 20th anniversary of “Comatose,” the platinum album that turned the Memphis band into one of the biggest names in Christian rock. The night before, the band plays Dallas; see our listing for Skillet at House of Blues Dallas.
Frontman John Cooper formed Skillet in Memphis in 1996. The band’s mix of hard rock, symphonic strings and faith-driven lyrics built a following on both Christian and mainstream rock radio, and “Comatose,” released in 2006, produced six No. 1 Christian Rock singles and three Top 40 Mainstream Rock hits, including “Rebirthing” and “Whispers in the Dark.” Its follow-up, “Awake,” added “Monster” and “Hero.”
Cooper has said the band will play a large portion of “Comatose” on this tour, including songs it has never performed live. Skillet also released the new single “Scream” in July 2026, so fans may hear new material alongside the anniversary set. San Antonio is one of the last stops before the tour wraps in Orlando on Nov. 10.

The Aztec Theatre opened in 1926 near the San Antonio River and is known for its Mesoamerican-inspired design, with carved columns, murals and a giant chandelier. Restored in the 2000s, it now hosts concerts of every genre, and its standing floor puts fans close to the band. See more shows on the Aztec Theatre venue page on Texas Music Map.
Doors typically open an hour before showtime. The Aztec Theatre is at 104 North St. Mary’s Street downtown, steps from the River Walk, with paid parking in nearby garages. Friday nights downtown are busy, so arrive early and expect a loud, faithful crowd ready to sing along to every chorus.
