SUMMARY:Dallas: Domi and JD Beck at The Echo Lounge and Music Hall (7 PM Show)
DESCRIPTION:Dallas-bred drum prodigy JD Beck brings his genre-bending duo DOMi and JD Beck home to The Echo Lounge and Music Hall on September 8\, 2026. Tickets start at $60 for an early 7 p.m. homecoming set from one of jazz’s most electrifying young acts. \nBorn and raised in Dallas\, Beck started on piano at five before switching to drums at nine\, soaking up lessons from Erykah Badu bandmate Cleon Edwards and bassist Robert “Sput” Searight while still in grade school. By his early teens he was producing beats and sitting in on Dallas jam sessions\, building the polyrhythmic vocabulary that would make him one of the most talked-about drummers of his generation. \nBeck met French keyboardist DOMi Louna at the 2018 NAMM Show\, and the pairing clicked instantly. The two built a cult following through viral clips of dizzying\, genre-hopping improvisation before signing to Anderson .Paak’s APESHIT Recordings and releasing their Grammy-nominated debut album\, Not Tight\, in 2022. Along the way they’ve shared stages and studios with Thundercat\, Herbie Hancock\, Bruno Mars\, and Mac DeMarco. \nBuy Tickets \nThis early 7 p.m. set is one of two Domi and JD Beck shows at The Echo Lounge and Music Hall on September 8 — a rare chance to catch the duo’s virtuosic chemistry in Beck’s own hometown. \nGet your tickets on StubHub and don’t miss Beck’s return to the Dallas stage. \nNot Tight earned the duo a Grammy nomination for Best Progressive R&B Album and made them festival favorites from Coachella to North Sea Jazz\, but the pair have said Beck’s Dallas roots still shape how they approach a room: he’s spoken about learning to read a crowd on nights sitting in with local bands at spots like the Kessler Theater\, long before DOMi and JD Beck became a global act. Expect a set that swings between hushed\, intricate interplay and full-tilt fusion chaos\, the kind of show that’s made them word-of-mouth favorites among musicians and fans alike. \nDoors for the 7 p.m. show typically open an hour before set time\, and with two shows booked at The Echo Lounge and Music Hall the same night\, early arrival is recommended for anyone hoping to catch Beck’s homecoming from up close.

SUMMARY:Dallas: Domi and JD Beck at The Echo Lounge and Music Hall (8 PM Show)
DESCRIPTION:Dallas-bred drum prodigy JD Beck brings his genre-bending duo DOMi and JD Beck back to The Echo Lounge and Music Hall for a late 8 p.m. set on September 8\, 2026. Tickets start at $65 for the second of two hometown shows from one of jazz’s most electrifying young acts. \nBorn and raised in Dallas\, Beck started on piano at five before switching to drums at nine\, soaking up lessons from Erykah Badu bandmate Cleon Edwards and bassist Robert “Sput” Searight while still in grade school. Expect a set that swings between hushed\, intricate interplay and full-tilt fusion chaos\, the kind of show that’s made them word-of-mouth favorites among musicians and fans alike. \nDoors for the late show typically open shortly after the early set clears\, and with two shows booked at The Echo Lounge and Music Hall the same night\, this later set tends to have a looser\, after-hours feel.

SUMMARY:Dallas: DOMi and JD Beck at The Echo Lounge and Music Hall
DESCRIPTION:Jazz-fusion duo DOMi and JD Beck play The Echo Lounge and Music Hall in the Dallas Design District on Tuesday\, September 8\, with tickets starting at $48. \nFrench keyboardist DOMi and Louisiana-born drummer JD Beck met as teenagers and quickly built a reputation as virtuoso instrumentalists\, drawing endorsements and collaborations from Herbie Hancock\, Thundercat\, Anderson .Paak\, and Mac DeMarco before releasing their acclaimed 2022 debut album “NOT TiGHT.” Their sound fuses jazz-fusion complexity with hip-hop and neo-soul grooves\, delivered with a technical chemistry between the two players that’s drawn comparisons to legendary jazz duos despite both musicians being barely out of their teens when they broke through. Their live shows are built almost entirely around improvisation and interplay rather than fixed setlists. \nBuy Tickets \nThe Echo Lounge and Music Hall opened in 2022 inside a repurposed warehouse in the Dallas Design District\, an adaptive-reuse project by architecture firm RIOS that kept the building’s industrial character while adding upscale finishes. Two connected rooms — the intimate Echo Lounge and the larger\, multi-tiered Music Hall — hold up to 1\,000 guests combined\, with a custom tile mural\, a VIP lounge\, and a spacious outdoor patio. Read more on its Texas Music Map venue page. The venue operates as a Live Nation room near American Airlines Center and the convention center. \nGet tickets for DOMi and JD Beck at The Echo Lounge \nExpect a genuinely improvised set where keyboard and drums trade rapid-fire runs — a show built for musicians and casual fans alike\, given how much of the appeal is watching two players react to each other in real time. \nDoors typically open a couple hours ahead of the 8 PM set time\, with the Design District’s restaurants and bars nearby for a pre-show stop. Given the popularity of this tour\, arriving with plenty of time to find parking and get settled before the opening act is a good idea. Fans planning the night out should check current showtimes and any last-minute schedule updates directly with the venue before heading over\, since club schedules can occasionally shift close to the date.

SUMMARY:Dallas: The Mountain Grass Unit at The Kessler Theater
DESCRIPTION:Mountain Grass Unit and the Kessler Theater wrap up a busy September with a night of high-energy modern bluegrass. The Birmingham-born band built its following through relentless touring\, selling out more than thirty shows in a single year before winning the IBMA’s Momentum Band of the Year award. Because the band blends traditional bluegrass with jazz\, funk\, and even metal influences\, their live sets rarely sit still. \nMandolinist Drury Anderson and guitarist Luke Black met as kids taking lessons together\, and that long history shows up in the band’s tight\, instinctive interplay. Since their upcoming album arrives via Dualtone Records\, produced by six-time Grammy winner Vance Powell\, expect the band’s studio ambitions to show up on stage too. As a result\, this is a rare chance to catch a fast-rising bluegrass act in a room this small. \nAbout the Kessler Theater\nThe Kessler Theater reopened in 2010 after a restoration of its original 1942 Art Deco design in Dallas’s Oak Cliff neighborhood. \nShow Details & Tickets\nThe Mountain Grass Unit performs Sunday\, September 13 at 8:00 PM. Arrive early for this fast-rising bluegrass act. \nGet The Mountain Grass Unit tickets on StubHub \nBuy Tickets \nLooking for more shows? SUMMARY:Dallas: Uncle Lucius at Granada Theater
DESCRIPTION:Uncle Lucius brings its Austin-bred blend of Southern rock\, soul\, and outlaw country to the Granada Theater in Dallas on Thursday\, Sept. 17\, 2026. Tickets start at $53. \nThe band’s story starts in 2002\, when a 25-year-old Kevin Galloway left a banking career in East Texas for Austin\, where he began playing open-mike nights around town. He eventually crossed paths with bassist Hal Vorpahl\, who grew up on Willie Nelson records before picking up bass guitar himself. The two started writing together\, and within a year they’d added guitarist Mike Carpenter\, a veteran of the Austin scene steeped in classic rock. Formally founded in 2005\, the group built its name the old-fashioned way: touring relentlessly and building a loyal following on the strength of its live show\, a jam-friendly mix of groove and grit that made Uncle Lucius a fixture of the Austin independent music scene. \nBuy Tickets \nUncle Lucius and the Texas Dance Hall Circuit\nThe band cut its teeth in the same circuit of Texas dance halls and honky-tonks that built acts like the ones who’ve packed Gruene Hall in New Braunfels for generations\, and that dance-hall discipline still shows in how tightly the band locks in live. Uncle Lucius released its debut album\, “Something They Ain’t\,” in 2006\, followed by “Pick Your Head Up” in 2009 and “And You Are Me” in 2012\, recorded between Austin and Nashville. \nGet your tickets on StubHub \nThe band went on hiatus in 2018 before returning with a new tour in late 2022 and the album “Like It’s The Last One Left” in 2023\, bringing longtime members Galloway\, Carpenter\, Josh Greco\, and Jon Grossman back together with newer additions Drew Scherger and Doug Strahan. That reunion energy has carried into their live shows ever since\, and Dallas fans should expect a set built on the same groove-heavy\, soulful rock that made the band’s name in the first place. \nDoors open at 7 p.m. for the 8 p.m. show. The Granada Theater sits at 3524 Greenville Ave. in Lower Greenville\, one of Dallas’s most walkable live-music strips\, with plenty of bars and restaurants nearby for dinner before the show.

SUMMARY:Dallas: Gannon Fremin and CCREV at The Kessler Theater
DESCRIPTION:Gannon Fremin CCREV Kessler Theater Show\nGannon Fremin CCREV Kessler Theater plans are set for Thursday\, September 17\, as the Oklahoma four-piece brings its red dirt Americana sound to Oak Cliff. Fronted by singer and rhythm guitarist Gannon Fremin\, the band pairs twangy guitars with soulful vocals and a rowdy live show. Since then\, the group has built a loyal following across the regional Red Dirt circuit. The full lineup includes Tyler McCartney on drums\, Wade Cartwright on bass\, and Travis Julian on lead guitar\, rounding out Fremin’s rhythm guitar and vocals. \nThe band actually got its start under the name Cross County Revenue\, releasing the single “Vernon” before settling into the Gannon Fremin CCREV name fans know today. In addition to steady touring\, the group released the EP “Hello\, Hate to See You” in 2025 and followed it with the 2026 single “Contagious.” Because their sound blends hard rock grit with red dirt roots\, the Kessler crowd should expect a high-energy night. \nAbout the Kessler Theater\nThe Kessler Theater has anchored the Oak Cliff neighborhood since opening in 1942\, and the Art Deco building was once owned by singing cowboy Gene Autry. Since its restoration and reopening as a live music venue\, the Kessler Theater has built a reputation for pristine acoustics and an intimate room that puts fans close to the stage. As a result\, touring artists across genres consistently rank it among their favorite stops in Texas. \nShow Details & Tickets\nGannon Fremin CCREV takes the stage at The Kessler Theater\, 1230 W Davis St in Dallas\, on Thursday\, September 17\, 2026\, at 8:00 PM. Doors typically open about an hour before showtime\, and tickets are available now through StubHub. \nGet Gannon Fremin CCREV tickets on StubHub \nBuy Tickets \nBecause the Kessler books such a wide range of touring artists\, Oak Cliff residents rarely have to leave the neighborhood for a great show. SUMMARY:Dallas: Tanner Usrey at The Kessler Theater
DESCRIPTION:Tanner Usrey Kessler Theater Show\nTanner Usrey Kessler Theater tickets are on sale for Friday\, September 18\, as the Prosper\, Texas native brings his soulful blend of country\, Americana\, and Southern rock to Oak Cliff. Usrey cut his teeth touring the regional Texas circuit as an independent artist before his 2019 single “Come Back Down” went viral and pushed him to national attention. Since then\, his track “The Light” landed a high-profile placement on the hit television show Yellowstone. \nIn 2023\, Usrey signed with Atlantic Records\, which released his debut album\, Crossing Lines. Because he wanted a more personal follow-up\, his 2025 album These Days leaned into a rugged\, stripped-down sound produced by Dave Cobb. His early musical heroes ranged from classic rock acts like Lynyrd Skynyrd and Faces to fellow Texans Wade Bowen and Whiskey Myers\, and that mix of influences still shapes his live show today. SUMMARY:Dallas: Grupo Duelo at Dos Equis Pavilion
DESCRIPTION:Grupo Duelo brings its norteño sound to Dos Equis Pavilion at Fair Park in Dallas on Saturday\, Sept. 19\, 2026\, with tickets starting at $99. \nFounded in 1996 when Óscar Iván Treviño and Dimas López started performing together in a restaurant in Roma\, Texas\, Grupo Duelo grew into one of the most consistently successful bands in norteño music\, splitting its identity between the Texas border town where it started and Monterrey\, Nuevo León\, just across the Rio Grande. The band’s 2003 album Desde Hoy topped sales charts in Monterrey and earned a gold record in Mexico\, launching a run that included a No. 1 debut on the Billboard Top Latin Albums chart with 2009’s Necesito Más de Ti and another chart-topper the following year with Solamente Tú. \nBuy Tickets \nGrupo Duelo Brings Norteño to Fair Park\nDallas-Fort Worth’s large Mexican-American population has made North Texas a regular stop for Grupo Duelo\, and Dos Equis Pavilion’s open-air setting at Fair Park gives the band’s accordion-and-bajo-sexto sound plenty of room to carry. Norteño’s close-harmony vocals and dance-hall rhythms have deep roots along the Texas-Mexico border\, and Grupo Duelo has been one of the genre’s most durable ambassadors\, carrying that sound from the Rio Grande Valley to amphitheaters across the country. \nGet your tickets on StubHub \nThe band’s romantic\, hook-heavy songwriting has earned multiple Billboard nominations for Regional Mexican Album and Song of the Year\, and its live shows remain a fixture on the Texas dance-hall and amphitheater circuit. That border-crossing legacy sits alongside other South Texas institutions honored at the Totally Tejano Hall of Fame & Museum in San Antonio\, which traces the broader Tejano and norteño lineage Grupo Duelo has helped carry forward. \nDoors open at 6 p.m. for the 8 p.m. show. Dos Equis Pavilion is an outdoor venue at Fair Park\, so lawn seating is available alongside reserved pavilion seats; check the forecast and dress for the weather.

SUMMARY:Blind Lemon Jefferson: Father of Texas Blues
DESCRIPTION:Today is the birthday of Blind Lemon Jefferson. He would be 133 today. \n\n\n\nLemon Henry Jefferson was born near Coutchman\, Texas\, on Sept. 24\, 1893. He was the youngest of seven children in an African American sharecropper family in Freestone County. He was born blind. He learned guitar as a teenager and began performing at church picnics and Saturday-night parties across the county. Then he found the street corners of East Texas. Then he found Deep Ellum in Dallas — and the corner of Elm Street and Central Tracks became his stage. \n\n\n\nThe Father of Texas Blues\n\n\n\nJefferson recorded 79 singles for Paramount Records between 1925 and 1929. He was the first commercially successful solo male blues artist in American history. “Matchbox Blues” and “Black Snake Moan” shaped a generation. The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame named “Matchbox Blues” one of the 500 Songs That Shaped Rock and Roll. He taught T-Bone Walker the guitar. He inspired B.B. King\, Lightnin’ Hopkins\, and Bob Dylan. He died in Chicago on Dec. 19\, 1929\, at 36. His grave in Wortham carries the inscription from his own song: “See that my grave is kept clean.” \nLearn more at the Texas State Historical Association.

SUMMARY:Dallas: Wade Forster at The Kessler Theater
DESCRIPTION:Wade Forster Kessler Theater Show\nWade Forster Kessler Theater tickets go on sale for Thursday\, September 24\, as the Australian country singer and former rodeo cowboy brings his outback storytelling to Oak Cliff. Forster grew up in Winton\, Queensland\, and only picked up a guitar after moving to Mount Isa\, releasing his debut single “Oneida” in July 2021. In January 2024\, he won the Toyota Star Maker Quest at the Tamworth Country Music Festival\, a major launching pad for Australian country artists. \nSince then\, Forster’s career has accelerated quickly. His debut album\, Gooseneck Party\, arrived in November 2025 and charted on the ARIA Australian Album Chart\, and in early 2026 he won Male Artist of the Year and Toyota New Talent of the Year at Australia’s Golden Guitar Awards. Because his sound blends country\, blues\, and folk influences rooted in the Americana tradition\, his August 2026 album The Aftermath has traveled well beyond Australia\, leading directly into this U.S. tour stop. \nAbout the Kessler Theater\nThe Kessler Theater has anchored the Oak Cliff neighborhood since opening in 1942\, and the Art Deco building was once owned by singing cowboy Gene Autry. SUMMARY:Dallas: Bob Schneider at The Kessler Theater (7 PM Show)
DESCRIPTION:Bob Schneider Kessler Theater Show\nBob Schneider Kessler Theater tickets are on sale for the 7:00 PM show on Friday\, September 25\, as the most decorated musician in Austin history returns to Oak Cliff. Schneider was born in Ypsilanti\, Michigan\, and raised in Germany\, where his father performed as a professional opera singer and Schneider learned piano and guitar at family parties. He dropped out of the University of Texas at El Paso to front his first band\, the funk and rap outfit Joe Rockhead\, before later fronting the jammy Ugly Americans\, who opened for the Dave Matthews Band. \nIn 1997\, Schneider co-founded the Scabs\, and he launched his solo career two years later performing as Lonelyland. His major-label debut\, also titled Lonelyland\, arrived in 2001\, and he followed it with 2004’s I’m Good Now. Because his music blends folk\, rock\, rap\, funk\, bluegrass\, reggae\, and country\, Schneider has won more than 59 Austin Music Awards\, making him the most awarded artist in the city’s storied music history. As a result\, this 7:00 PM Kessler date promises a genre-spanning set from a true Texas original. \nShow Details & Tickets\nBob Schneider takes the stage at The Kessler Theater\, 1230 W Davis St in Dallas\, on Friday\, September 25\, 2026\, for the 7:00 PM show. Doors typically open about an hour before showtime\, and tickets are available now through StubHub. \nGet Bob Schneider tickets on StubHub \nBuy Tickets \nBecause the Kessler books such a wide range of touring artists\, Oak Cliff residents rarely have to leave the neighborhood for a great show. SUMMARY:Dallas: Isaac Slade at The Kessler Theater
DESCRIPTION:Isaac Slade Kessler Theater Show\nIsaac Slade Kessler Theater tickets are on sale for Saturday\, September 26\, as the former frontman of the Grammy-nominated\, multi-platinum band The Fray brings his first-ever solo tour to Oak Cliff. Slade amicably split from The Fray in 2022 and stepped out of the spotlight entirely\, settling on an island in the Pacific Northwest to raise a family and open a record store. Because he stayed away from touring for four years\, this run carries real weight for longtime fans. \nSlade has said a moment of reflection at Red Rocks Amphitheatre helped inspire his return to the stage\, and the resulting “Songs I Know” tour takes audiences through his musical life\, from Fray hits to brand-new material and the songs that first sparked his songwriting. In addition to the well-known singles\, expect stripped-down arrangements that put his voice and piano front and center. As a result\, the Kessler’s intimate room should suit this show especially well. SUMMARY:Dallas: Emmaline at The Kessler Theater
DESCRIPTION:Emmaline Kessler Theater Show\nEmmaline Kessler Theater tickets are on sale for Wednesday\, September 30\, as the jazz-pop vocalist\, violinist\, and songwriter brings her Sinatra\, My Sweetheart Tour to Oak Cliff. The show reimagines Frank Sinatra’s timeless classics with vintage romance and a modern feminine twist\, drawing on selections from Emmaline’s upcoming album of the same name. Because she plays violin as fluently as she sings\, her arrangements layer lush strings underneath every torch song. \nEmmaline’s signature modern-retro style blends old Hollywood glamour with contemporary songwriting sensibility\, so fans of both classic standards and current pop should find something to love. In addition to the Sinatra reinterpretations\, expect a set that highlights her own original material and virtuosic violin playing. As a result\, this Kessler date offers a genuinely different kind of night out compared to a typical rock or country show. \nAbout the Kessler Theater\nThe Kessler Theater has anchored the Oak Cliff neighborhood since opening in 1942\, and the Art Deco building was once owned by singing cowboy Gene Autry.
