SUMMARY:Houston: Underoath\, August Burns Red and Atreyu at Bayou Music Center
DESCRIPTION:Underoath brings its Define the Great Line 20th Anniversary Tour to Bayou Music Center in Houston on Wednesday\, Dec. 16\, 2026\, at 6:30 PM\, with tickets starting at $114. August Burns Red and Atreyu join for the full run\, making this a stacked night of 2000s metalcore and post-hardcore. The tour plays Austin the night before; see our listing for Underoath\, August Burns Red and Atreyu at ACL Live. \nUnderoath formed in Tampa\, Florida\, in 1997 and became one of the defining heavy bands of the mid-2000s\, with Spencer Chamberlain’s screams trading off against drummer Aaron Gillespie’s clean vocals. “Define the Great Line\,” released in 2006\, was a darker\, heavier turn after the breakthrough “They’re Only Chasing Safety\,” and it became a landmark record\, eventually certified gold. The band is presenting it on this tour in celebration of its anniversary. \nBuy Tickets \nExpect songs like “Writing on the Walls\,” “In Regards to Myself” and “A Moment Suspended in Time.” August Burns Red\, from Lancaster\, Pennsylvania\, brings Grammy-nominated technical metalcore\, and Atreyu\, from Southern California\, adds anthems like “Becoming the Bull” and its cover of “Ex’s and Oh’s.” As Cities Burn and Emery appear on select dates of the tour. \nGet your Underoath tickets on TicketNetwork \nBayou Music Center sits in the Bayou Place entertainment complex in downtown Houston’s Theater District and has hosted touring rock bands for decades under several names. Its tiered layout gives everyone a good view of the stage\, which suits a heavy bill with big production. See more shows on the Bayou Music Center venue page on Texas Music Map. \nDoors typically open an hour before showtime. Bayou Music Center is at 520 Texas Avenue downtown\, with paid parking in nearby Theater District garages. The 6:30 PM start on a weeknight means you should head over right after work to catch every band.
