SUMMARY:Fort Worth: Built to Spill at Tannahill's Tavern & Music Hall
DESCRIPTION:Indie-rock veterans Built to Spill play Tannahill’s Tavern & Music Hall in the Fort Worth Stockyards on Tuesday\, September 22\, with tickets starting at $58. \nFormed in Boise\, Idaho\, in 1992 and led throughout by songwriter and guitarist Doug Martsch\, Built to Spill helped define 1990s indie rock with albums like “Perfect from Now On” and “Keep It Like a Secret\,” building a reputation on sprawling\, multi-guitar-driven songs that stretched pop hooks into extended jams. More than three decades in\, the band remains a touring fixture on the strength of Martsch’s guitar work and a catalog that’s aged into indie-rock canon status\, drawing a crowd that spans original-era fans and younger listeners who found the band through its influence on later acts. \nBuy Tickets \nTannahill’s Tavern & Music Hall opened in the Fort Worth Stockyards in October 2022\, the creation of chef Tim Love\, a longtime official chef of Austin City Limits Music Festival\, who named the room after his son. The 1\,000-capacity Music Hall occupies Mule Alley\, a row of century-old horse-and-mule barns renovated as part of the Stockyards’ historic redevelopment\, and keeps an open\, barn-like footprint with two bars flanking the general-admission floor and a pizza window for late-night eats. Read more on its Texas Music Map venue page. The room sits blocks from the rest of the Stockyards’ Western entertainment corridor\, and showtimes vary by night\, so check the calendar before heading out. \nGet tickets for Built to Spill at Tannahill’s Tavern \nThis is one of two DFW dates on the current run — the band also plays Dallas’s Echo Lounge and Music Hall the following night — giving North Texas fans a rare back-to-back chance to catch the band twice in one week. \nDoors typically open a couple hours ahead of the 8 PM set time.
