DESCRIPTION:Geoff Tate\, the original voice of Queensrÿche\, brings his band Operation: Mindcrime to Tannahill’s Tavern & Music Hall in the Fort Worth Stockyards on Saturday\, September 12. Tickets start at $40. \nTate fronted Queensrÿche from 1981 through 2012\, singing lead on the band’s landmark 1988 concept album “Operation: Mindcrime\,” a progressive-metal rock opera widely regarded as one of the genre’s defining records\, along with hits like “Silent Lucidity” and “Empire.” After parting ways with Queensrÿche\, Tate formed a new band under the name Operation: Mindcrime\, both honoring and continuing the concept-album format that made his reputation\, while also performing the original “Mindcrime” record in full on many tour stops. \nBuy Tickets \nTannahill’s Tavern & Music Hall opened in the Fort Worth Stockyards in October 2022\, the creation of chef Tim Love\, a longtime official chef of Austin City Limits Music Festival\, who named the room after his son.
