Arlington: Post Malone at AT&T Stadium

For Post Malone, AT&T Stadium isn’t just another arena on the tour — it’s the building his dad worked in. From 2005 to 2019, Rich Post was the Dallas Cowboys’ Assistant Director of Food and Beverage, running concessions first at Texas Stadium and then at AT&T Stadium when it opened in Arlington in 2009. According to Cowboys owner Jerry Jones, a young Post Malone would sleep inside Texas Stadium some nights while his dad worked — long before he’d ever headline a show there himself.

On May 9, 2025, about a 20-minute drive south from his hometown of Grapevine, Post Malone headlined AT&T Stadium as part of his Big Ass Stadium Tour, with Jelly Roll and Sierra Ferrell in support. The Grapevine High School Mustang Band opened the pregame tailgate with covers of his songs, and during the show he had an emotional moment wearing a Brandon Aubrey jersey — Aubrey is the Cowboys’ kicker — telling the crowd this was the building his father worked in while he was growing up.

The homecoming went a step further on Thanksgiving Day 2025, when Post Malone headlined the Cowboys’ Thanksgiving halftime show against the Kansas City Chiefs, joining a lineage of halftime performers that includes Dolly Parton, Destiny’s Child, and Kenny Chesney. His father watched from a suite instead of working the concourse for the first time in 14 years — “beyond something that we could’ve imagined,” Rich Post said, “when he started this musical career, or I started my job with the Dallas Cowboys.”

The family’s Cowboys ties even took physical form a few miles away: the Post Malone x Cowboys x Raising Cane’s restaurant at 2255 W Northwest Highway in Dallas, which opened in October 2023 with a 32-foot Cowboys star over the drive-thru, a vending machine of exclusive merch, a Post Malone fan mailbox, and Cowboys memorabilia throughout — billed as the first restaurant collaboration to team up a music superstar with an NFL team.
