New Braunfels: Willis Alan Ramsey at the Redbird Listening Room

Willis Alan Ramsey counts the Redbird Listening Room among his very favorites, calling it “one of my very favorite little listening rooms anywhere.” The room was opened by singer-songwriter Dallas Burrow in his New Braunfels hometown, and Ramsey has credited that pedigree directly: it “has not only survived but thrived during the pandemic,” he’s said, adding that because Dallas is a songwriter himself, “he seems to know just the right ingredients for having an intimate, successful music room.”

After a May 2025 date there, Ramsey wrote: “Thanks to everyone who came out to the sold out show at The Redbird Listening Room this afternoon. I felt strong, and it was so great to be back out performing.” The room has become one of the go-to intimate stages in the Texas Hill Country for songwriters of Ramsey’s generation and the ones who grew up idolizing him.
