Edie Brickell’s new band World Famous Pets announces self-titled debut LP. The Oak Cliff-born, Grammy-winning singer teams with drummer Matt Chamberlain, bassist Kaveh Rastegar, and guitarist Mason Stoops for the self-produced album, due Sept. 25 on Shuffle Records, alongside a new single “I Guess It’s You.” The quartet will play the second weekend of Austin City Limits Festival and a hometown show at Dallas’s Kessler Theater on Oct. 6.

Norah Jones named 2026 Texas State Musician (Non-Classical). The Texas Commission on the Arts honored the Grapevine-raised, Booker T.
