October 24 @ 8:00 pm - 11:00 pm

Pete Yorn Kessler Theater Show
Pete Yorn Kessler Theater tickets are on sale for Saturday, October 24, as the New Jersey-born singer-songwriter brings more than two decades of indie-rock songwriting to Oak Cliff. Yorn’s older brothers played in bands and got him interested in music early, and he was playing drums before age ten. After moving to Los Angeles in 1996 to write music for film and television, his song “Strange Condition” landed on the soundtrack to the Jim Carrey film Me, Myself & Irene.
His debut album, musicforthemorningafter, arrived in 2001 and eventually went gold, and he followed it with the folky hit “Come Back Home” in 2003. Because he has never stopped exploring new collaborators, Yorn worked with producer Mike Mogis on 2009’s Back & Fourth and teamed up with actress Scarlett Johansson for the duets album Break Up. More recently, he released a covers record, Pete Yorn Sings the Classics, in 2021 and the perceptive Haw in 2022.
About the Kessler Theater
The Kessler Theater has anchored the Oak Cliff neighborhood since opening in 1942, and the Art Deco building was once owned by singing cowboy Gene Autry. Since its restoration and reopening as a live music venue, the Kessler Theater has built a reputation for pristine acoustics and an intimate room that puts fans close to the stage. As a result, touring artists across genres consistently rank it among their favorite stops in Texas.
