Kurt Vile & The Violators Bring Hazy Indie Rock to Longhorn Ballroom
Kurt Vile and Longhorn Ballroom make for a fitting pairing this July. The acclaimed Philadelphia songwriter brings his band, the Violators, to Dallas for a headline show. Before going solo, Vile co-founded The War on Drugs. Since then, he has built a career on reverb-drenched guitars, unhurried tempos, and stream-of-consciousness lyrics. As a result, he’s become one of indie rock’s most recognizable voices. Dallas fans have waited years for a proper headline stop, and the Longhorn Ballroom’s intimate room suits his sprawling sound well.
Since his breakout run of solo albums, Vile has become one of indie rock’s most hypnotic live acts.
