The Echo Lounge and Music Hall is one of the newest rooms on this list, built inside a repurposed warehouse in the Dallas Design District and opened in 2022. Where several of Dallas’s storied venues trade on decades of history, the Echo leans the other way — a from-scratch concert venue designed for the modern touring circuit.

An Industrial Shell, Reimagined

Architecture and design firm RIOS led the adaptive-reuse project, keeping visible structure and industrial character from the original warehouse while adding upscale finishes throughout the roughly 25,000-square-foot building. The result is two connected spaces under one roof: the smaller, more intimate Echo Lounge and the larger, multi-tiered Music Hall, which together can hold up to 1,000 guests. A custom tile mural, a VIP lounge, and a spacious outdoor patio round out a room its designers describe as blending “rock and elegance.”

Part of the Victory Park Concert Corridor

The Echo operates as a Live Nation venue and sits close to the Kay Bailey Hutchinson Convention Center and American Airlines Center, putting it inside the same general concert corridor as some of Dallas’s biggest rooms, even though its own capacity is built for mid-size touring acts rather than arena shows.

For a point of contrast, the Granada Theater a few miles away on Greenville Avenue offers Dallas’s other version of a mid-size room — a 1946 movie house instead of a 2022 warehouse conversion. Between the two, Dallas covers both ends of the city’s concert-hall history in a single afternoon’s drive. Check the Echo’s own site for showtimes, since both connected rooms can run separate events on the same night.
