SEE MORE IN:
Fort Worth has always known how to keep something good. Saint Marie Records on Chandler Drive opened in November 2022 — and by 2025, Fort Worth Magazine had already named it the best record store in the city.
Saint Marie Records Fort Worth stocks new and pre-owned vinyl across all genres. Rock, shoegaze, jazz, hip-hop, funk, and soul all have a home in the bins. So do cassettes and CDs, for those who never left them behind. The shop also offers a professional record cleaning service — one of those details that tells you the owners are serious about the format and not just the aesthetic. Three years from opening to city’s best is a steep climb. But the store earned it by doing the unglamorous work: buying carefully, pricing honestly, and building a room worth coming back to.
Indie Curation in a City That Listens
Fort Worth has never been short on music. The city’s cultural geography runs from Sundance Square to the Near Southside, and the independent music scene has deepened considerably in recent years. Saint Marie Records fits that arc. The selection leans toward indie and shoegaze but doesn’t stop there — the staff’s taste runs wide, and the shop reflects it. Every genre gets shelf space, and every shelf gets attention.
For Fort Worth’s oldest record institution, Record Town on Saint Louis Avenue has been at it since 1957 — a different kind of landmark, equally worth your time. But Saint Marie Records is the new argument, and Fort Worth is paying attention.
