Leon Bridges will play an intimate hometown show at Bowie House this September, previewing his next album. The Grammy winner also grew up blocks from the venue. He’ll take the stage September 13, weeks before his fifth album, Happiness Anytime, lands everywhere else.
First, Bridges rolled the album out in phases since July. Four songs are already streaming, four more land August 21, and the rest arrives September 25. The Bowie House gig works like a sneak preview screening, a small room getting first dibs before the wide release. It fits a singer who built his name in small rooms before arenas ever called.
Still, tickets aren’t cheap. Packages start at $1,550 and climb higher from there. Proceeds benefit The Big Good, the charity Bridges co-founded with former TCU head coach Gary Patterson. The show is part of Auberge Collection’s concert series, now in its third year. Auberge Collection CEO Christian Clerc called the series a chance at “rare access to world-class artists in remarkable destinations.”
Leon Bridges Returns to Bowie House
This isn’t Bridges’ first rodeo at the venue. He sold out a similar Bowie House set last year, and Kacey Musgraves showed up for a surprise cameo. Meanwhile, Fort Worth has always found ways to claim its own. Then Leon Bridges spent the summer road-testing new songs at pop-up shows across Europe. BBC hosts Nick Grimshaw and Jo Whiley recently sat him down to talk through the new record. For $1,550 a ticket, Fort Worth gets first dibs on the next chapter of one of its own.
