Austin: Underoath, August Burns Red and Atreyu at ACL Live
Underoath brings its Define the Great Line 20th Anniversary Tour to ACL Live at the Moody Theater in Austin on Tuesday, Dec. 15, 2026, at 6:30 PM, with tickets starting at $117. August Burns Red and Atreyu join the bill for the full run, and Emery is also on the Austin lineup, making this a four-band night for fans of 2000s metalcore and post-hardcore.
Underoath formed in Tampa, Florida, in 1997 and became one of the defining bands of the mid-2000s heavy music scene, with Spencer Chamberlain’s screams trading off against drummer Aaron Gillespie’s clean vocals. “Define the Great Line,” released in 2006, was a darker, heavier turn after the breakthrough “They’re Only Chasing Safety,” and it became a landmark record, eventually certified gold. On this tour, the band is performing it in celebration of its anniversary.
Expect songs like “Writing on the Walls,” “In Regards to Myself” and “A Moment Suspended in Time,” which still anchor Underoath’s sets. August Burns Red, from Lancaster, Pennsylvania, brings technical metalcore and Grammy-nominated musicianship, while Atreyu, from Southern California, adds anthems like “Becoming the Bull” and “Ex’s and Oh’s.” Emery rounds out the bill with its emotional post-hardcore.
