About Snarky Puppy
The Brooklyn-based fusion collective, led by bassist, composer, and producer Michael League, blends jazz, funk, and rock into a genre-defying sound built around instrumental interplay and a rotating cast of world-class musicians. Snarky Puppy has won three Grammy Awards and built one of the most respected live reputations in modern instrumental music, known for marathon improvisational sets and a fan base that spans jazz purists and festival crowds alike. Formed in 2004 by a group of University of North Texas jazz students, the group has grown into a rotating collective of more than a dozen musicians, with albums like We Like It Here and Immigrance earning critical acclaim alongside their Grammy wins for Best R&B Performance and Best Contemporary Instrumental Album.
