Journey brings its “Final Frontier” farewell tour to Frost Bank Center in San Antonio on Saturday, Oct. 10, 2026, with tickets starting at $37. Billed as the band’s last run across North America, this could be the final chance for San Antonio fans to sing along to “Don’t Stop Believin'” with Journey in the same room.
Journey formed in San Francisco in 1973 around guitarist Neal Schon, and the band hit its commercial peak in the late 1970s and early 1980s with singer Steve Perry. The 1981 album “Escape” produced “Don’t Stop Believin’,” “Open Arms” and “Who’s Crying Now,” and 1983’s “Frontiers” added “Separate Ways (Worlds Apart)” and “Faithfully.” The band’s “Greatest Hits” collection is one of the best-selling albums in U.S. history, and Journey was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2017.
The “Final Frontier” tour opened in February 2026 in Hershey, Pennsylvania, and the band added a 40-date fall leg that started in Los Angeles in September and wraps in its hometown of San Francisco in late November. San Antonio has long been a strong classic rock town, and a Saturday night arena show from one of the genre’s biggest hit-makers should draw a full house.
Since 2007 the band has been fronted by Filipino singer Arnel Pineda, whom Schon discovered through YouTube videos of him covering Journey songs, and Pineda has now been with the band longer than any singer other than Perry. Journey’s stop continues a big stretch of classic rock at the arena, which hosted a two-night stand from RUSH in September. Longtime keyboardist and songwriter Jonathan Cain and drummer Deen Castronovo round out a lineup built to deliver the hits.
Doors typically open about 90 minutes before showtime. Frost Bank Center offers paid parking in the lots surrounding the arena, and with a Saturday night crowd expected, plan to arrive early to get parked and through security before the band takes the stage.
