Texas Music News — October 9, 2026
Olivia Rodrigo performs her new album for the first time on Austin City Limits tonight, October 9, at 8 p.m. The three-time GRAMMY winner returns to the most famous stage in Texas television. She plays highlights from her chart-topping album, you seem pretty sad for a girl so in love. Austin PBS promises “fearless songwriting and arena-sized performance.”
Think of the show as a front porch with a very good sound system. Artists step onto it and play like the whole room is listening. Austin City Limits has run since 1974, so few stages carry more weight. Now Rodrigo brings her new songs to that porch for the first time.
Catch It Tonight or Online
Viewers can watch on Austin PBS at 8 p.m. Otherwise they can stream the set on the Austin City Limits YouTube channel. Texas artists such as Sarah Jarosz have played the same series, and the tradition keeps growing. So pour a drink, turn it up, and let the porch light shine. Details at Austin PBS
