Kacey Musgraves to receive ACM Spirit Award at 19th ACM Honors. The Academy of Country Music announced June 24 that the Golden, Texas, native will be saluted alongside Eric Church, Ella Langley, and Leslie Fram at the August 19 ceremony in Nashville. Musgraves’ sixth album, Middle of Nowhere, debuted at No. 1 and marked her biggest sales week yet. Details at Variety

Texas Country Music Industry Awards set for July 23 in Fort Worth. The Texas Country Music Association will hand out its industry-side honors at Rhinestone Saloon in the Fort Worth Stockyards, capped by a concert from TCMA member Clay Hollis. Briscoe Western Art Museum’s Selena exhibit continues drawing crowds in San Antonio. “Selena Forever/Siempre Selena,” featuring large-scale John Dyer portraits of the Tejano icon from 1992-94 plus rare memorabilia, opened June 4 and runs through January 4, 2027, with an accompanying Tejano summer film series on third Sundays.
